Chilled out with coursemates and our Statistics lecturer after the disastrous Mathematics 1 final exam at Mid Valley on last Friday. You might be wondering why I said "disastrous".Well, first of all, we (and I mean ALL the students who are taking Mathematics 1 this semester) find that the lecturer sucks to the bottom of the never ending bottom...er, you know what I'm trying to say right? No? Nevermind. Anyway, we dislike the lecturer because it was hard to communicate with him and he simply marks our papers. He doesn't accept any other mathematical methods except his. He's disorganized and totally a pain in the ass during his classes. Urrghhhh! I wish, no, scratch that, WE wish we wouldn't need to see him in the following semesters. *keeping fingers crossed. Enough of the bitching, let's go back to the main topic...

The song was later announced as the album's fourth single and released on February 16, 2011. The single version features vocals by American rapper Kanye West, who also appears in its Floria Sigismondi-directed music video, which was released on March 31, 2011. It is the most recent track to top both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Dance Club Play charts simultaneously. Following its single release featuring West, on March 5, 2011, the song re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number twenty-eight with 110,000 copies sold. "E.T." reached number one on the chart on April 9, 2011 in its seventh week, ending the six-week run of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" to make Teenage Dream the ninth album in the history of the chart to yield four number-one singles. This achievement marked the fifth number-one for Perry and the fourth for West. The song stayed at number-one for three consecutive weeks and returned for a fourth following its American Idol performance, selling 344,000 copies, which according to Nielsen SoundScan, marked a new weekly high for the song. The song has sold over 300,000 digital copies in a week thrice, becoming one of four songs in history to achieve this. On the Canadian Hot 100, the song re-entered the chart at number eighteen following its single release. It reached its peak of number two on April 23, 2011. A music video for "E.T." with West was released on March 31, 2011, premiering on MTV.com. The date was announced in a teaser trailer released on March 21, 2011, which showed clips of an unidentified flying object. The video was directed by Canadian Floria Sigismondi, known for her "dark, feminine" music videos for artists including Christina Aguilera and Marilyn Manson. In an interview with NRJ's French radio show Le 6/9 on March 10, 2011, Perry revealed she was satisfied with her decision to collaborate with Sigismondi, after having previewed a 30-second clip. The video begins with the song "Where in the World Can My Lover Be?" by Midge Williams & Her Jazz Jesters playing in the background. In the video, Perry, as an alien, drifts through outer space before landing on an abandoned Earth covered with litter. Clips are interspersed of large felids hunting game. She comes across a broken robot (resembling a spaceman), which turns into a naked male, played by Shaun Ross upon her kiss. It is eventually revealed Perry's legs are in fact those of a gazelle. Meanwhile, West is featured in the video floating in a travelling spacecraft. Throughout the video, Perry wears heavy cosmetics and extravagant outfits, including blue and pink make-up, cat- and reptile-like eyes, and Medusa-esque braids. New York's Willa Paskin compared her looks to "detailed, outlandish, [and] semi-gorgeous rainbow-kabuki". She has also received comparisons to Lady Gaga's look in the music video for "Born This Way", the Queen of Sheba, Ziggy Stardust, the alter ego of English musician David Bowie, and fictional characters Lara Croft, Padmé Amidala, and Jadzia Dax. The video itself has been described as "a sequel to Avatar or a Katy Perry video game".
"E.T." has received mixed reviews from professional critics. It has been noted for bringing out a different side of Perry, with a darker, deeper, and more mature tone. This was praised by BBC Music's Al Fox who enjoyed the contrast from her conventionally upbeat pop tracks like "Hot n Cold" and "California Gurls". Leah Greenblatt of Entertainment Weekly felt Perry showed strength on the song, comparing its sound to a combination of American rock musicians Lita Ford and Trent Reznor. Matthew Cole of Slant Magazine disliked the track's inscrutability and said that "E.T."'s backing track was reminiscent of t.A.T.u.'s "All the Things She Said" (2002). Bill Lamb, writing for About.com, gave a three-and-a-half star review out of five: he was disappointed with the lack of a defined hook, remarking the song could have had more potential and that its "edginess builds without release." Reviewing the remix, critics were divided over West's appearance. Kaplan lauded the track as a "great duet", praising the vocals of both performers, a statement echoed by Lamb, who felt West's verses intensified the song. Further, Entertainment Weekly's Brad Wete felt the song was improved with a male perspective. Digital Spy's Robert Copsey gave a review of four stars out of five, but felt, on the other hand, that the rapper's contribution added nothing to the track. Finally, sem break is here! Although it's only a 10-days break, it is sufficient for me to catch back all those TV-series and dramas! This is SBS recent k-drama which I've been wanting to write about for quite some time - 49 days, one of the k-dramas I enjoy watching this year.

I find her pathetic and at the same pitiful in the drama. YiKyung's life become miserable and sad ever since her love one died in an accident. She couldn't accept the fact and has been living as a zombie for 5 years. She works night shifts in a convenience store and lives on cup noodles every day. Her daily routine is basically eat-sleep-work.
She doesn't socialize as she feels there's no reason to. In short, she's living for no reason at all. I know it's hard to face it when your lover or family member died, but it is just so wrong if you decide not to get over with because the living has to move on instead of staying put on the same spot for a half decade.
Shin JiHyun (Nam GyuRi)
JiHyun comes from a wealthy family. She has everything she wanted but her world falls apart when she met an accident which puts her in a coma. JiHyun is then given a second opportunity to "get her life back" if she is able to collect 3 drops of tears from those who truly loves her apart from her family members in 49 days. To do so, she is allowed to "enter" YiKyung's body when YiKyung is asleep.
Before the accident, JiHyun is naive. She believes that everyone will be fond of her if she always treat them good. However, she realized that she was wrong. She was disappointed as she thought her close friends would genuinely cry for her but they think she overdone with her kindness towards them. Adding salt to the wound, she found out that her fiance, Min Ho is not what she think he is. She tries to save her father's company from falling into wrong hands.
Shin In Jung (SeoJiHye)
In Jung is one of JiHyun's best girlfriends since high school. In Jung is in love with Min Ho since he rescued her in the alley from being kidnapped years ago. She and Min Ho then plot something awful in order to get want they desired. Their plan almost didn't work out when JiHyun met a car crash.
Han Kang (Jo Hyun Jae)
Han Kang loves JiHyun since he transfer to her high school but he doesn't have the guts to express himself to her. JiHyun gets upset as she thinks Han Kang always bully her. He owns a small restaurant which he then employs YiKyung. He is surprised when he eventually sees JiJyun's behavior and attitude in YiKyung.
Kang Min Ho (BaeSoo Bin)
Min Ho is JiHyun's fiance and they were about to get married in a few days before the accident. He's In Jung partner in crime. They have been planning to overtake JiHyun's father's company for years. Marrying JiHyun is a part of their plan. Min Ho is also a playboy as he likes JiHyun, In Sung, and YiKyung.

Jung Il Woo plays the funny scheduler in the drama who guides JiHyun during the 49 days. He also has a past with YiKyung.
